Production 2- Incorporating Dialogue

After finalizing who and where we are filming, we needed to incorporate dialogue to add more details and action to the movie. We began by looking at our storyboards to see the scenes we are filming and need to add dialogue to. The first section starts with the group of girls walking up to the school with background music playing for majority of the scene. Before the music starts, we wanted to have the girls say something along the lines of, “Ahh first day back” or “doesn’t it feel good to be back” with a “no” response. We believe this gives the audience some detail on what is going on at the school and why the girls are saying some of the things they do later on in the movie. Throughout the next part of the film while the girls are looking at everyone in the hallways, there will be no need for dialogue as there will be background music playing over to further show the chaos of the scene. The next call for dialogue will be after the girls sit in their seats and the teacher goes to start class. The teacher will say, “can I have your attention please” after the bell rings and the music cuts. A few seconds later, the “cute boy” and his group will walk in completely taking the girls attention from the teacher. The teacher will then make a comment such as, “oh look who decided to come back to school” with the boy responding with a smart comment like “I had to come back when I saw your name on my schedule.” The teacher will then tell the group of boys to take a seat. While the boys walk to their table, the girl’s attention will be very obviously on them. After they sit for a moment, the main boy of the group will notice the girls staring at him which will cause him to smirk and flirt with them. The teacher notices this, making another comment telling him to not flatter himself. As this most of the specific dialogue we have right now, we have other smart comments/ jokes we will be incorporating to add to the comedy element of this movie.
